Cowhides are one of the most widely used leathers in the world, and you see calf leather more and more often as well. Calf leather is known for its good suppleness and extra softness. This also makes them increasingly desirable for use in interior design. Because of their average size, you can use and place them in many different ways.
How can you use calfskin in your interiors?
A calfskin is about the same size as our mini cow skins. However, the calfskins all have a unique shape so they are also all a unique size. With their softness and playful colors, these small cowhides bring a warm and cozy feel to any room, whether it's your living room, bedroom or hallway. Because of their smaller size, you can apply them almost anywhere.
There are several ways to use a calfskin, such as:
As a rug: This is one of the most common ways to incorporate a calfskin into your interior. Place a calfskin in front of the fireplace or television, for example. They break up large empty surfaces such as the floor.
As a throw-over on your furniture: Because they are very soft and supple, they are also especially suitable to serve as throw-overs. Lay one over the railing of your sofa, chair or ottoman, for example. This will provide an extra warm and cozy look and it brings you a sense of luxury. But you can also use them as table decorations on which you then place a beautiful decorative piece.
For further processing: Because these skins are so soft and supple, you can also make the most beautiful pieces from them such as bags, jewelry and many other accessories.
Of course, you can use them in other ways as well, just how far you stretch your imagination and creativity.

Tips for maintaining and cleaning your calfskin
The nice thing about a calfskin is that you can maintain them the same way you maintain a cowhide, mini cowhide and goathide. They require fairly little to no maintenance (somewhat depending on how you use them). If you use it as a rug then it will take more abuse than if you have it hanging over the banister.
